Facelift

A face lift is a procedure that Dr. Shenaq performs to help patient’s correct the aging features of the face such as sagging of the skin, turkey neck and jowls in order to regain their youthful looking face and neck.

Procedure:
The incisions are made within the hairline above the ear and continuing downward around and behind the ear lobe. The skin is separated from the fat and the muscles underneath and then the sagging muscles and connective tissue are tightened and accumulation of fat is removed and then the skin is pulled back optimally to produce a more youthful face.

Recovery:
The patient is sent home with light dressing and supportive garment. Most of the swelling and discoloration will subside within two to three weeks and full activities will be resumed within a month. There will be minimal postoperative pain that is well controlled with medication. Detailed pre and postoperative instructions will be discussed at the time of the initial consultation with Dr. Shenaq.
