Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)

This procedure is done for the patient who is interested in correcting excess fat and skin (bagginess) in the upper and/or lower eyelids. This will give the patient more youthful or rested appearing eyes.

Procedure:
The incisions are made following the natural crease that exists in the upper eyelid and lower eyelid. Excess fat and/or skin is removed and then re-draped naturally. This procedure can be done alone or in conjunction with a facelift or brow lift.

Recovery:
Swelling and bruising may be present that will usually subside within a week or two. There will be minimal postoperative discomfort that is easily controlled with medication.
